Potentiometric Ion-Selective Sensing

Thick-film ISEs measure Na+, K+, Cl-, Ca++, pH via electromotive force.

Overview

The BiQadx Vital+Gas platform relies on a solid-state electrochemical sensor array. By utilizing miniaturized Ion-Selective Electrodes (ISE), we achieve rapid, reagent-free quantification of critical blood analytes from finger-prick whole blood volumes.

Architecture & Design

The sensor array consists of a silver/silver chloride (Ag/AgCl) reference electrode and multiple working electrodes coated with specialized ionophore-doped polymeric membranes. The target ions selectively partition into the membrane, generating an electromotive force proportional to the logarithmic concentration of the analyte, conforming to the Nernst equation.
