Polymer Autofluorescence Suppression

Cyclic olefin polymer (COP) substrates raise signal-to-noise by 8×.

Overview

Traditional point-of-care cartridges utilize polycarbonate or polystyrene matrices that emit high background autofluorescence, masking low-concentration biomarkers. BiQadx photonics are engineered around cyclic olefin polymers to unlock laboratory-grade limits of detection.

Architecture & Design

The optical readout zone of the BiQadx cartridge acts as a precision lens. The injection-molded COP material is structurally uniform with ultra-low birefringence. When paired with our time-resolved fluorescence (TRF) optical modules, the background signal is virtually eliminated, capturing the delayed emission of europium or lanthanide chelates with unmatched fidelity.
