Chemistry
Lyophilisation — Reagent Stability Engineering
Enzymes and probes embedded into a glassy trehalose matrix for >24-month stability.
Overview
Cold chain logistics represent a severe vulnerability in global diagnostic deployment. BiQadx utilizes proprietary lyophilisation protocols to stabilize highly sensitive biochemical reagents—including polymerases, antibodies, and fluorophores—into solid-state matrices.
Architecture & Design
The process involves careful primary and secondary drying phases under precisely controlled vacuum. The molecular structural integrity of the active biologicals is preserved by hydrogen bonding with the amorphous sugar glass matrix. Upon contact with the sample fluid in the cartridge, the bead dissolves instantly, restoring the reagents to their active aqueous state.
