Concept — TRL 1–2

Veterinary (Vector-Borne)

Decentralized 4-plex POCT panel targeting Ehrlichia, Lyme, Anaplasma, and Heartworm via whole-blood acoustic separation.

Overview

Companion animal diagnostics demand rapid, robust multiplexing. The vector-borne panel requires no sample preparation by the veterinary technician.

Architecture & Design

Employing the acoustofluidic intake bridge, canine whole blood is dynamically split to yield clear plasma. A microfluidic manifold routes the plasma over a localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) array functionalized with specific antigens. Real-time refractive index changes correlate with antibody binding kinetics, confirming the presence of vector-borne disease in under 10 minutes.
