Architecture & Design
A self-contained, micro-machined sensor block houses both potentiometric sensors for electrolytes and amperometric Clark-type electrodes for pO2 and lactate. A passive capillary burst system isolates the on-board calibration liquid from the patient sample, executing a self-calibration sequence automatically 30 seconds before the assay begins to guarantee drift-free readings.
