Cardiac Triage

Time-resolved fluorescence immunoassay for High-Sensitivity Troponin I (hs-TnI) and NT-proBNP. Utilizes COP substrates.

Overview

Emergency triage of myocardial infarction (MI) requires quantitative measurement of troponin at single-digit nanogram per liter (ng/L) concentrations.

Architecture & Design

The analyzer employs a europium-chelate nanoparticle conjugate. An intense LED burst excites the sample, but measurement is delayed by several microseconds until the rapid background autofluorescence decays completely. The long-lived europium fluorescence is then integrated, yielding high-sensitivity cardiac biomarker detection that maps to the 99th percentile upper reference limit established by the IFCC.
